The future of Windows 10 Mobile is called Andromeda OS . In that, Redmond is working hard on this project, with the goal of bringing it into the hands of users in 2018 or even later. Apparently according to the latest leaked rumors when there will be Andromeda OS the source code and the Windows 10 Mobile SDK will be discontinued. The current Microsoft Mobile OS will no longer update and old Windows Phone devices will remain with Redstone 2.

The development of Andromeda OS is in fact the name of unification of experience between multiple Windows 10 devices of different types. Microsoft wants to produce a “universal” experience, a platform that does not show any significant differences in the way the operating modes are used, other than those related to the input devices used.
